“Instrumental”!! 🤣 good one. I started reading your meditation book last night, Yeay, I’m a new fan!

I guess in lashing out you only hurt yourself, but that’s so easy for me to say as that’s not one of my many problems. I think, from where you came from, you’ve really moved mountains in your lifetime and made enormous leaps of progress. I hope you recognize your own greatness & accomplishments.

I really admire your point of view and your SPUNK! (I don’t know, I just turned 60 too—do the kids still say that?) Love from a fellow Texan! Looking forward to devouring everything you’ve ever written! 🤗

Hahaha. I couldn’t resist “instrumental.” Thank you for your kind words. I’m trying now to learn to let myself be consciously aware of the changes I’ve been able to make to survive this long and to feel incrementally better as the years pass. Another obstacle I have is taking credit for accomplishments (like surviving) because I have been trained by bio family and culture at large that making such positive lists (especially for women) counts as bragging or pride. I appreciate you helping me in this endeavor. Glad you’re digging the book. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE your work and have been following you for some time. Happy Birthday!!

Oh gosh, I get that. I also REALLY get having boundless enthusiasm for things you love, so watch out! That is SO my MO. When I say something in ALL CAPS I REALLY mean it! ;p And maybe I can help you get past that obstacle of taking credit. Believe me when I say that you are SOMETHING ELSE! xoxo

I identify so much with all of this! I got angry at my loud little condo neighbors last Sunday and screamed so loud through the wall that I had an instant anger hangover. (I may have called them serial killers in training.) I decided that I can't do it any more for anything -- I can't bring that level of anger into my life, not local, not national. I can just do what I can do, which is love the people I love and help where I can!

Sorry it happens to you, too. I do think so many people in general are pretty hair trigger right now. Totally understandable. Oh I am dreading the next four years.
