My first post to read. Thanks for the humor and reflections. The painting is taken from a Facebook post of the crow caught with the perfect glare at the feeder cam. Funny because I too had just today planned to incorporate the iconic image into a painting. Wish I could find the owner of the feeder. Any help anyone? Not sure you’ll be able to open this file

Thanks for the prose and photos, it was delightful. The only thing missing was a pic of you and your buddy riding up to the library 📚 on horseback.

Hahaha. I wanted to reply with a photo of me on horseback but I can’t figure out how to do that.

Click the little landscape icon if there is one. The photos in the story were great, especially the chicken with the questionable nest.

Thank you for buying original art! Artists need more supporters like you. It's always fun to see a slice of what you get up to in a week, and how you continue to sally forth. I also love the phrase "Don't Lose Your Shit kit". I know that kit!

I was so happy to find that painting! And I love the phrase sally forth. There was a cartoon, long ago, and that was the main character’s name. It took many years before I found out that sally forth is an action.

hi Spike, I really enjoyed this post… Even though it made me later to my swim at the local YMCA lol. You and I are so much on the same page. You may remember we talked about my question whether you were the spike Gillespie in David Ansel's book "slow and difficult soups". … One of my very favorite cookbooks.

Would you consider doing some zoom classes? Coming to Texas is not an option for me but would love to do one of your writing workshops. And there'll be no fucking swearing --I promise. hahaha

I keep trying to be a paid subscriber and my phone says no no you cannot do it on the app. So I'm putting a note in my calendar so when I get home I can do it through my laptop.

Hi Anitra,

Sorry I made you late. Haha. I have tried zoom classes in the past and could never really get them going. If I decide to try again I will let you know!! And thanks for subscribing. ❤️
