December 29, 2020 is the date the sociopath in my past left this earthly realm. I never imagined anyone else shared my feelings. Then I read your words.... it's nice knowing I am not (never was) alone. We can be bitter or we can get better.

Thank you for sharing your story, Spike. As sad as it may seem, so many of us can relate to what you have been through. It does seem to take longer than it should to recognize our true value. Big Hugs!

Thank you for sharing your story. I would love to take you to coffee and give you a hug. Our lives have had so much violence in them.

Commenting from my other email login -- this was a really hard thing to share and really meaningful. Thank you! I have read so many times in the last few weeks about forgiving the girls we were, and I am ready! Love you!

I'm sorry this happened *to you* and I'm amazed at the clarity with which you're able to unpack and write about something so traumatizing. I only hope for you many peaceful days and nights knowing that nightmare is truly over. Rather than saying RIP when an abuser dies, we should instead say to recipients of their abuse, LIP: Live in Peace! And also, in lieu of flowers, please send all the flowers to the people they were horrible to. Love you, Spike. ❤️💐
