Seeing the Featherweight made me want to put together crones sew on crones with our old Featherweights. The machine (Mom's) I made Barbie dresses (and many other things) with! Do you still do knitting days?
My bobbin case just arrived! Now I have to relearn how to thread the machine, etc. I will figure it out. I still knit pretty much every day. My First True Craft Love. I love that you made Barbie clothes. I saw a beautiful documentary once that featured women who loved Barbie so much that they had matching costumes with their collection.
Loved the updates and the pictures (the Business Cards~love) Ethan video & the Colm McGuinness was awesome~what an incredible song ~ and those words brought tears to my eyes.
PS-you’re such a powerful voice for so many, so I would like to ask you if you’ll share the Economic Boycott February 28th info with your readers. Most of your followers already know, but just in case.
Great post. Long-time Asahi fan here. I suggest the pickled plum or spicy cod roe.
You? This weekly round of sharing food with our unhoused friends is great. As is everything else you mentioned on this sunny-but-dark Monday. Still keeping O. Henry in your life? Best wishes.
Thank you for this roundup of joys! Your inclusion of photos and videos was delightful. It gave me a little of what I've been missing now that I'm mostly ignoring IG. I have a Singer Featherweight (hence my design work under the name Featherweight Studio). Featherweights are the bessssst. Such beauty and function in one little machine.
I have had a number of Featherweights. I’m not a very good seamstress. My eighth grade teacher made such a pained face at my wraparound skirt I kind of got the idea she thought I should try something else. Anyway, so every now and then I’d buy one, get frustrated, then sell it or give it away. But THIS featherweight is from my friend’s mom so I think maybe that’s a sign to try sewing again, and to try to not be uptight about it. Let’s see how I do.
Soooo happy to have been a part of your week. ❤️
Thank you for the nourishing and delicious food and company!

Thanks as always, Spike. Take care~
I’d be glad to share the info! I myself had not heard about it. Thanks for letting me know. Going to go look up a good link to post now.
John Leguzamo has a bunch of good stuff. Also General Strike is another that’s on BlueSky
Truly enjoyed all this goodness!

Still at the museum!
Ok. I just got all jazzed to take a field trip to Asahi today for lunch, and they're closed on Mondays. WAHHHHH. 😫
Crushing!
